Thank you. Have you seen the app Merlin by Cornell Ornithology? http://merlinbirdid.comExplore the world of birds with Merlin Bird ID! Today I heard and saw 16 different species in Chicagoland. Bird song… I wonder if that is why human beings started singing… copying birds. And/or it is just part of all the DNA of Earth creatures, including us. That reminds me of a good book to recommend you and others here might enjoy… The Sounds of Life by Dr. Karen Bakker. A fascinating book and she gave a great Ted talk too. Sadly, she passed away right after. Usually only songs make my cry. Her voice and knowledge and her being gone… so sad. But she lives on through her books and talks. If everyone on the planet would read this book… kindness would be universal. You might be inspired to write a song about this.

I love doing fan letters. this is a long one... Four letters, one from someone I know. Lots of reflection, singing, thinking. And then a fan letter in return, to an young actor who looked like he needed alittle advice from someone who has been famous long enough to know that no body is or can ever be the embodiment of other peoples ideas. Fame when it first comes makes us feel responsible for what other people are feeling. It's a - hell of a tester, as Donny Hathaway sang. But I imagine JR is doing alot better now.

What a beautiful take on fame! May we always be our best selves, sharing kindness and love, whether famous or not.

Someone can play you The Blues, but The Blues eventually do the rest of the work...introducing Themselves, to you. You...have done such introductions to a few generations, with a lasting touch. What a joy and blessing to have witnessed.
