What a wonderful treat to be invited in to this open and personal conversation about the creative process and experience. I absolutely loved this and it just flew by!
Thank you both! I'm a fan. This was a wonderful conversation! More of these please. I'd love to see you Rickie have a live chat with Victoria Williams.
Thanks again! Enjoyed it so much. Many things you mentioned ring true. Kids can be so mean it's awful! They may have sensed your special talents and couldn't deal with it, or something like that. I was fine at grade school being a good student, ( Dad was a Math-Physics teacher...) but the neighborhood kids were always calling me "weird". Along with a few extended family members. I heard "You're so weird" often! Your talk today made me realize how that contributed to my ability to drift off into other worlds and happier realities. Now I see how desperate some were to " be normal" and "fit in"...and I'm thankful that was not my road. Not easy when you're young though as you mentioned. Have a great weekend. Sincerely, Mary K.
A travelogue of Neko going to pickup Rickie Lee (on a horse) to bring her to the studio to record?! I can't wait!
